The mission of Tri-State Building Materials, Inc., is to provide quality, value and legendary service for our customers; fair and honest dealings with our employees; and a reasonable profit for our owners while being a responsible member of our community helping to make it stronger, safer and a better place to live.

We will do this through our people, who are our company, by supplying the training, knowledge, and atmosphere needed for our team to be the helpful hardware folks

In 1973, Tri-State founder David E. Paul and his wife, Marcella, purchased Sommerville Building Materials in Fort Mojave and gave it a new name: Tri-State Building Materials. By 1985, with help from son, Michael, and daughter Melody, the family built the business and moved the store to its present home at 4515 Highway 95. Commercial and Contractor Divisions were added. An existing Ace store in Bullhead City was acquired in 1989. Renamed Tri-State Ace Home Center, the store was moved to its present 30,000 sq. ft. location at 2350 Miracle Mile in March 2012. In August 2008, Tri-State acquired its third location: the former Leroys Ace Home Center, 4550 Stockton Hill Road, Kingman, Arizona, which was renamed Kingman Ace Hardware and Lumber. Today, Michal Paul, President/CEO of Tri-State, is ever mindful of his fathers vision for the company and is committed to being "the Helpful Place" by offering customers knowledgeable advice, helpful service and quality products.
